South Carolina Notarization Fees

Mobile Notary Travel Fees
Travel fee: $30 minimum or $1.50 per round-trip mile, whichever is greater.
Standard service area: Appointments generally within 30 miles one way of the Summerville/Knightsville area.
Extended-distance appointments may be available by special arrangement.
Travel charges are separate from notarization fees, are not set or mandated by South Carolina law, and will be agreed upon before travel begins.

Special appointments are subject to availability. When more than one surcharge applies, only the highest applicable surcharge is charged.
Booking & Cancellation Policies
Travel fees are paid in advance to reserve your appointment.
- Cancellation with 24 hours or more notice: Full refund of prepaid travel fees.
- Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: 50% of the prepaid travel fee is retained as a cancellation fee, provided travel has not begun.
- Cancellation after departure: The prepaid travel fee is nonrefundable.
- Cancellation by Chucktown Chick: All prepaid fees are refunded in full.
Rescheduling: Appointments may be rescheduled at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice, subject to availability. Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to the same cancellation policy. Any additional travel costs for a new location will be quoted before confirmation.
Applicable notarization fees are charged separately for notarial acts performed.

Please have your documents ready, acceptable identification available, and all required signers present. Do not sign documents that must be signed in the notary's presence until instructed.
